RESUMO

For developing commercially viable LiNi1-x-yMnxCoyO2 (NCM), it is necessary to alleviate the irreversible chemical process upon Li-ion insertion/extraction, which primarily accounts for prevailing capacity loss, impedance buildup as well as low columbic efficiency. To resolve this issue, we herein propose a simple but novel method to alter the chemical composition by a facile treatment of H2O2, which remarkably reduces the cation mixing of Li+/Ni2+ and residual lithium on the cathode. The tailored composition contributes great resistance to the structural reconstruction and enhancement in structural reversibility, as shown by in situ Raman and high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) results. Thus, the modified sample outperforms the pristine one; it exhibits cyclability with 95.7% capacity retention over 300 cycles, high columbic efficiency and enhanced rate capability.

RESUMO

With urgent desire of promoting sustainable development, this study explored the impact and affecting mechanism of green credit on green economy efficiency through spatial lag model. Panel data from 2008 to 2019 of 30 selected provinces and cities in China were collected to portray the green economy efficiency with application of Sup-SBM DEA including unexpected outputs. The results show that (1) green credit had significant promoting effect on green economy efficiency, while time-space inconsistency existed. (2) During the promoting process, level of marketization and environmental regulation generated threshold effects, which were positively correlated with regional green economy efficiency. (3) Industrial structure upgrading and environmental investment played positive intermediary roles between green credit and green economy efficiency. (4) Considering endogenous issues, the positive effect still existed though the promotion effect was weakened. This study further enriches the literature and provides deep insights into the policy design when formulating the green economy path.

RESUMO

A SiC ceramic coating was prepared on carbon/carbon composites by pack cementation. The phase composition and microstructure of the coated specimens were characterized using X-ray diffraction instrument and scanning electron microscope. The results showed that the mass-loss percentage of the coated specimen was 9.5% after being oxidized for 20 h. The oxidation failure of the SiC ceramic coating at 1773 K was analysed by non-destructive X-ray computed tomography. The effective self-healing of cracks with widths below 12.7 µm introduced during the coating preparation process and generated while the specimens cooled down from the high oxidation temperature prevented the oxidation of carbon/carbon composites. X-ray computed tomography was used to obtain three-dimensional images revealing internal damage caused by spallation and open holes on the coating. Stress induced by heating and cooling caused the formation, growth and coalescence of cracks, which in turn led to exfoliation of the coating and subsequent failure of oxidation protection.

RESUMO

In order to achieve the highly efficient preparation of high-performance carbon/carbon (C/C) composites, epitaxial grown carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and a pyrocarbon matrix were simultaneously synthesized to fabricate CNT-reinforced C/C composites (CC/C composites). With precise control of the temperature gradient, CNTs and the pyrocarbon matrix could grow synchronously within a 2D needle-punched carbon fiber preform. Surprisingly, the CNTs remained intact within the pyrocarbon matrix at the nano-level, and the CNT-reinforced nano-pyrocarbon matrix was compact, with virtually no gaps and pores, which were tightly connected with the carbon fibers without cracks. Based on the results of Raman analysis, there is less residual stress in the CNT-reinforced pyrocarbon matrix and carbon fibers, and less of a mismatch between the coefficient and thermal expansion. Additionally, CC/C composites fabricated by this method could achieve a low density, open porosity with a large size, and improved mechanical properties. More importantly, our work provides a rational design strategy for the highly efficient preparation and structural design of high-performance CNT-einforced C/C composites.

RESUMO

Optically bright lead halide perovskite nanocrystals of different morphologies ranging from nanocubes to flat nanoplatelets to elongated nanowires have been reported. The morphology of the nanocrystals is expected to affect various properties such as the band edge energy and the electron-hole exchange interaction. However, aside from nanocubes, the investigation of optical properties in the lead halide perovskite nanocrystals of different morphologies at the single emitter level has been lacking. We have performed optical spectroscopy in single CsPbBr3 nanoplatelets and observed single photon emission without blinking. Furthermore, the photoluminescence emission exhibits excitonic fine structure peaks similar to what has been previously observed in nanocubes. Our work stimulates further investigations into the excitonic and quantum optics properties when the lateral size and morphology can be further controlled in lead halide perovskite nanocrystals.

RESUMO

An in-situ, catalyst-free method for synthesizing 3C-SiC ceramic nanowires (SiCNWs) inside carbon⁻carbon (C/C) composites was successfully achieved. Obtained samples in different stages were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Raman scattering spectroscopy. Results demonstrated that the combination of sol-gel impregnation and carbothermal reduction was an efficient method for in-situ SiCNW synthesis, inside C/C composites. Thermal properties and mechanical behaviors-including out-of-plane and in-plane compressive strengths, as well as interlaminar shear strength (ILLS) of SiCNW modified C/C composites-were investigated. By introducing SiCNWs, the initial oxidation temperature of C/C was increased remarkably. Meanwhile, out-of-plane and in-plane compressive strengths, as well as interlaminar shear strength (ILLS) of C/C composites were increased by 249.3%, 109.2%, and 190.0%, respectively. This significant improvement resulted from simultaneous reinforcement between the fiber/matrix (F/M) and matrix/matrix (M/M) interfaces, based on analysis of the fracture mechanism.
